Former Sen. Jeff Flake, a Republican from Arizona, is sounding the alarm for the GOP and President Donald Trump ahead of the 2026 midterms.
In an op-ed for The Washington Post, Flake on Thursday directly warned his party: “A migration has begun.”
“The first signs are visible,” Flake said, pointing to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) taking a public stance against Trump’s sweeping tariffs , as well as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a MAGA loyalist, breaking with the president on several major issues .
“It gives cover to those who have privately questioned the direction of the party but have been unwilling to say so aloud,” he continued.
