Ignacia Fernández , who is currently vying for Miss World Chile, recently brought a unique energy to the pageant by roaring her way through one of her death metal band’s songs. Watch the performance below.

During the semi-finals of the competition, televised on Sunday, November 2nd, the 27-year-old model and singer performed a track with her band, Decessus. Accompanied by the band’s guitarist Carlos Palma , her guttural vocals were a stark contrast to her black gown.

Representing Chile’s Las Condes district, Fernández’s growls impressed judges enough to earn a spot in the Top 20. She will appear in the finals, airing this Sunday, November 9th. Related Video
