NEW MEADOWS, Idaho — Idaho State Police (ISP) is now investigating a single-vehicle crash that happened on Nov. 6 on U.S. Highway 95, north of New Meadows.
ISP announced in a news release that around roughly 9 p.m. on Thursday, a 25-year-old man from Caldwell was driving south on U.S. 95 in a 2005 blue Kia Rio.
The Kia driver lost control, causing his vehicle to roll. In the process, the car knocked down a power pole. The driver was wearing a seatbelt; however, he died from his injuries sustained in the crash, ISP reports.
The name and identity of the driver may be released at a later date, pending identification from the coroner.
ISP adds that a 2002 Ford F-250 and a 1990 International semi-truck hit some debris from the power pole.
The highway was blocked for roughly four hours
