What do hockey and The Tragically Hip have in common? Both are working to support those experiencing homelessness in Kingston through an annual charity hockey tournament.
Hockey Helps the Homeless Kingston hosts its third charity hockey tournament at the Invista Centre in Kingston on Nov. 14.

Hockey Helps the Homeless is a national nonprofit organization that raises funds and awareness for homelessness through the love of hockey.
Emma Langlois, the senior business development manager for the event, said that the organization’s reach is extensive.
“We run pro-am charity hockey tournaments in 22 communities across Canada, where all the net proceeds stay local to support organizations that are fighting homelessness or food insecurities,” she said.
