Star, a cocker spaniel puppy, was recently surrendered by a breeder, and as soon as the rescuer laid eyes on him, she instantly knew why.
Maryam Alquraishat shared photos of the tiny pup on Instagram . He has a silky cream coat, but there’s one obvious defect: he is blind.
The two-month-old pup’s eyes are glazed over, meaning he is no longer profitable.
Alquraishat told Newsweek : “It is unfortunately very common for breeders to hand over puppies with congenital or defect issues.”
Star was also diagnosed with ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne infectious disease, and is anaemic, meaning he has a shortage of red blood cells, which leads to symptoms like pale gums, lethargy, and weakness.
