OAK CREEK, Wis. (WFRV) - A suspect is in custody after an early morning police pursuit on Interstate 94 ended with multiple narcotics seized.

Officers with the Oak Creek Police Department say the incident began when they attempted to conduct a traffic stop for an equipment violation early Thursday morning. The driver allegedly refused to stop and took off, leading officers on a pursuit heading northbound on I-94.

A Milwaukee police officer successfully deployed a tire deflation device, disabling the suspect’s vehicle. The car continued through the Marquette Interchange before coming to a stop, where the driver reportedly fled on foot.

After a brief foot chase, the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
