OMAHA, Neb. —
The Omaha Children's Museum said it is pausing its capital campaign for a new location at Eighth and Douglas streets.
The museum said it wants to focus on its core mission and enhancing visitor experience.
Dana Washington, Omaha Children's Museum board president, said in a release, "This is an exciting opportunity for OCM to reinvest in our current operations, elevate our status as a world-class destination, and lay the ground work for future growth."
OCM announced the plans to move to the Riverfront in October 2024.
The museum said it plans to stay in its current location and will still deliver programs and exhibits for kids of all ages.
