On Wednesday, Prince William announced the recipients of the Earthshot Prize at a ceremony in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The award bestows £1m to five individuals with projects dedicated to repairing the climate. When he wasn’t lending his services to help the environment, William found time to recreate a photo of his late mother, Princess Diana, on one of Rio’s highest peaks and in front of its most recognizable landmark.

Accompanied by the city's mayor, Eduardo Paes , Prince William climbed to the top of Mount Corcovado, where the immense statue of Christ the Redeemer stands.
