Senator Pauline Hanson has revealed the future of her newly-named One Nation party as it continues to surge in polls around the country.

Hanson spoke to 7NEWS.com.au on Tuesday after announcing her name would be removed from the party’s official title after 28 years.

The firebrand federal senator said the decision was her own and assured she will remain the head of the party.

“I kept the name there as recognition because there’s so many minor parties out there,” she said.

“In general, the populace do not follow politics, they get confused with all these minor parties out there, but they know who Pauline Hanson is.

“So that’s why when it came to vote, there was no confusion that they were voting for me and not some other minor party.
