PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the deadly shooting involving an attempted robbery of a Pittsfield resident.

In a news release sent to 22News on Friday from the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, on October 26 at around 6:14 p.m., officers were called to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Parker Street in Pittsfield. Upon arrival, they found a white Honda HR-V that had crashed into a tree in the area of Franco Terrace and Parker Street.

A single occupant, a juvenile boy, identified by the DA's Office as Brodie Slonski, was found inside the vehicle behind the driver's seat with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was brought to Berkshire Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
