ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions are again pointing to rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa as someone they want to get more snaps and opportunities.
TeSlaa has three catches on six targets for 54 yards and two touchdowns on the season. The rookie saw an increase in snaps for a couple of weeks, but has been limited to only 12 offensive snaps over the last two games. TeSlaa has no catches since week 5, and only one reception since Week 2.
“He does a really good job on special teams. We’re going to get him the ball more,” John Morton, the team’s offensive coordinator, said this week. “And that helps with the other guys, so they’re not always playing 65, 70 plays. But we’re real happy with where he’s at.
“(Raymond) Leaf -- all these guys have different skillsets and they’re all going to play.
