A few weeks ago, President Donald Trump posthumously awarded Charlie Kirk the medal of freedom, and now one Georgia politician is nominating the late conservative activist for another honor.

On Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Earl "Buddy" Carter of Georgia wrote a letter to the president asking that he be honored in the National Garden of American Heroes. Here's part of what Carter wrote about Kirk:
