AUSTIN, Texas — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has lifted a ground delay at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) for Friday, Nov. 7.

The FAA said the ground delay was in effect until 3:59 p.m. CST, but was lifted before that at 3:20 p.m. CST. The delay impacted only flights coming into Austin, however departing flights may have experienced delays.

The FAA said departures to AUS were delayed an average of 47 minutes. The reason for the delay was due to staffing, officials said.

The most recent ground delay at the airport was on Monday, Nov. 3. Friday's ground delay is at least the seventh since the start of October, when the federal government shut down after lawmakers failed to pass new funding bills.
