A 66-year-old man has been taken to hospital following an incident involving a tram in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to Constitution Street in Leith at about 1.35pm following "reports of concern" for a person. Police and paramedics attended the scene, and an air ambulance was also dispatched.

The man was driven by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh . A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 13:33 to attend an incident on Constitution Street, Edinburgh.

"An ambulance, three special operations response teams, a paramedic response unit, a critical care paramedic and an air ambulance were dispatched to the scene. One patient was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh."
