APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - A former Neenah police officer has been convicted after entering a no contest plea to a child pornography charge in Outagamie County court on Friday.
Twenty-three-year-old Owen Halls appeared before a judge, where he pleaded no contest to one count of possession of child pornography.
As part of a plea agreement, a second charge was dismissed but will be read in during sentencing, meaning the court can still consider it when determining his punishment.
Halls, who previously served with the Neenah Police Department, was charged earlier this year following an investigation into his online activity.
He is scheduled to return to court for sentencing on December 19.
