Louisville's main airport saw a handful of flights cancelled Nov. 7, the first day of a nationwide reduction in flights due to the ongoing federal government shutdown.

Ten passenger flights scheduled at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport were affected, airport spokeswoman Natalie Ciresi Chaudoin said.

Five inbound and five outbound flights were cancelled, representing 6.5% of the day's total flights. Operations otherwise appeared normal midday at the Louisville airport.
