Gouri immediately stepped in, questioning the relevance of such a personal remark at a professional event. She calmly pointed out that the question reflected body-shaming and disrespect towards women in the industry.

As the video from the event spread online, it triggered sharp criticism across social media. Several celebrities and film industry members came forward to support Gouri and condemned the journalist’s behaviour.
