ILLINOIS (KFVS) - The Illinois Department of Public Health warns of the possible dangers of consuming raw milk after at least 11 people recently became sick.

According to IDPH, it has identified an outbreak of 11 cases of Campylobacter infection that appear to be linked to consuming raw milk from a common source.

They say the producer is taking steps to notify customers and is cooperating with the investigation.

Because raw milk is not pasteurized, health officials say it is more likely to be a source of foodborne illness.
