The Oxford Police Department says a months-long investigation led to the arrest of Wade Lucas Casstevens, 21, of Arlington, Virginia, in connection with a series of online threats targeting a local pharmacy.
Police said they were alerted on Sept. 30, when a pharmacy’s security team reported terroristic threats posted by an anonymous account on X. Investigators say the account posted multiple threats over several days.
After more than a month of investigative work, OPD identified the user as Casstevens. He was arrested Wednesday, November 5, and charged with Making Terrorist Threats. Casstevens appeared before a Municipal Court judge for his initial bond hearing.
Oxford police thanked the University of Mississippi Police Department for assisting in the case.
