The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting that left one man with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to a press release from the police department.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of J Street SW at 2:53 p.m. Thursday for a report of shots fired. They found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital.
The release did not give any other details about the cause of the shooting or whether anyone has been arrested. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
