ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

Albuquerque residents can now 3-D print their own homes with plans released by the city planning department, ranging from 450 to 750 square feet and meeting current building codes and standards.

These plans were donated by Nieto Custom Builders, so residents do not have to pay for a design. "We have full CID approval from the state of New Mexico as an acceptable building practice. And this model here is about 530 square feet, one bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen, living room and it serves as a model to kind of get people to come in and take a look around, kind of get their eyes on this new technology that's available now," said Jesse Nieto with Nieto Custom Builders.
