Redford Union Schools Superintendent Jasen Witt has been placed on administrative leave, according to the school board, but didn't provide an explanation.
School board President Evelyn Pridemore issued a statement Friday saying the board had voted to place Witt on administrative leave at a Thursday meeting.
The leave was described as a "non-disciplinary administrative leave," but the statement said the board had hired law firm Miller Johnson to "review matters related to District management and operations."
The board appointed Judy Nachman to serve as interim superintendent. Nachman is currently the director of human resources and previously served as the principal of Redford Union High School.
