LILBURN, Ga. — Army veteran Alan Baker said his service dog helped him find joy again after years of isolation.
“I stopped going to the gym, stopped going to church, I stopped living,” Baker said. “With my dog, I’m everywhere. I love it.”
Baker served 32 years across multiple branches of the military, including surviving two IED explosions in Iraq and being shot in the head during Desert Storm.
He said Top Dogg K9 Foundation gave him purpose again, and a new best friend in Kilo, his white Giant Schnauzer.
