"Fly the friendly skies" was the slogan of an advertising campaign created in the mid-1960s to give United Airlines a competitive edge over its competitors in terms of offering a better choice for air travel and customer service.
In the Mid-2010s, the slogan was relaunched and is still being used today by United. Up until this week, the friendly skies were busy with travel, and not really experiencing a large amount of issues from the government shutdown (in Wyoming at least), but that may change soon.
