U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar is again raising concerns over the conditions in the Camp East Montana ICE detention facility.
Escobar, D-El Paso, sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Acting director of U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement, Todd Lyons, detailing her concerns over the conditions at the soft-sided detention facility.
The letter dated Nov. 7 is a follow-up to a previous letter Escobar sent in September about conditions at the site. She is now questioning medical access, shift staffing, and security concerns.
Escobar wants DHS to detail the current number of detainees at the facility, as well as to address growing concerns about the conditions within the facility. She is also requesting to know how many detainees have escaped from the
