Best known for “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul,” Vince Gilligan’s new Apple TV+ series “Pluribus” takes him in a new direction.

“It’s a show that examines happiness,” he said. “Sometimes I think it’s best to let the audience decide what a show means, but I can say I was thinking a lot about happiness when I came up with this.”

Written specifically for Rhea Seehorn, who earned two nominations for her work on “Better Call Saul,” Gilligan says he’s been working on it for 10 years, admitting, “I wish I worked faster.”
