Accumulating snow could arrive in some parts of Metro Detroit this weekend, the National Weather Service said.
Meteorologists with the agency predict the flakes could show up starting Saturday night and linger into Sunday.
On Thursday , NWS said there's a 1% chance Ann Arbor may see an inch or more over the weekend, a 6% chance for Pontiac to get it, and a 32% chance in Howell.
The odds rise the farther north in the region. Flint and Saginaw are looking at a 36% and 38% chance of accumulating snow, according to the forecast.
"Large differences in snowfall are possible between the northern and southern areas of Southeast Michigan, with periods of initial rain and melting snow affecting snow accumulations," the weather service said in a statement.
