Anti-black discrimination is “baked into the institutional design” of the Metropolitan Police, with darker-skinned staff labelled “confrontational”, according to some of the conclusions of a new independent review, as the force attempts to repair its relationship with black communities.
Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said in response the Met was committed to “listening, learning and acting”.
