The first poke shop to open in Baton Rouge is closing after nine years in business.
Friday, Nov. 7, is the last day that Southfin Southern poke will serve its signature Hawaiian raw fish bowls with a Louisiana flare.
"We cannot thank Baton Rouge enough for all the support," the business wrote in a Friday Facebook post. "It's meant everything to us. Sincerely, thank you all. The city and all of you have been great to us for so long."
Southfin Southern didn't say why management decided to close the restaurant, but wrote that people "will see some changes to the building in the coming weeks."
Southfin opened its original location on Perkins Road by Phil's Oyster Bar in March of 2017. Over the years it temporarily operated spots in Lafayette and on Siegen Lane in Baton Rouge.
