New Jersey officials resumed paying federal food assistance benefits on Friday, even as the Trump administration continues to fight a federal judge’s ruling ordering full payments.

The state’s Department of Human Services, which administers the Supplemental Assistance Nutrition Program to 800,000 New Jerseyans, said it had fully funded November’s benefits following a federal court ruling on Thursday compelling the U.S. Department of Agriculture to release funds to states.

State DHS Commissioner Sarah Adelman said recipients who were set to receive payments this week should see them on their EBT cards.
