This just in on a Friday, as the Los Angeles Rams will be starting Harrison Mevis (The Thiccer Kicker) over second year player Joshua Karty on Sunday in a massive game against the San Francisco 49ers. You can see the tweet from Adam Schefter below.

Karty was 10-15 on field goals this season and 23-26 on extra points. In 2024, Karty was 29-34 of field goals and 32-36 on extra points.

Had Karty been able to convert just a little better (and if everything stayed the same) the Rams would be undefeated this year. That’s not what happened and instead Karty will be sitting this week out.

Now, are all the special teams’ woes on Karty? Doubtful, but he’s the kicker, the face of unit and he was struggling, so Sean McVay is going in a different direction.
