PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 22-year-old man is facing manslaughter and other charges after police said him speeding in his SUV led to a crash, killing a husband and wife back in June.
On June 16, officers responded to reports of the crash on SW Towle Avenue.
Police said they found a small SUV driven by Eyasu Bedasso had hit another vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 69-year-old Theresa Heick, was dead at the scene. Her husband and passenger, 79-year-old Robert Heick, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Several days later, officials said Robert died from his injuries.
