DALLAS — Travelers heading out of DFW Airport and Dallas Love Field on Friday are bracing for a potentially long day, as the two major North Texas airports are among dozens across the U.S. where the Federal Aviation Administration is reducing air traffic.
Houston Hobby Airport and George Bush Houston Intercontinental are also among the Texas airports on the FAA's list of reduced traffic, which started Friday.
The move comes amid the government shutdown, as air traffic controllers have been working without pay since Oct. 1 and are showing signs of strain, officials have reported.
