The Jacksonville Jaguars intend to play in Orlando for the 2027 NFL season, Orlando City Commissioner Shan Rose confirmed to WESH 2 on Friday afternoon, saying the team told the city its intentions.

NFL owners have to vote on it before it can officially be announced.

It's temporary, while the Jags' EverBank Stadium undergoes a renovation. Construction is expected to be complete in August 2028.

Commissioner Rose added that the work to bring the Jags to Orlando has been a collaborative effort between the City of Orlando, Orange County Government and Florida Citrus Sports.

The Jags will play at Camping World Stadium – which will undergo renovations before the season begins.
