The Michigan Department of State has lifted its suspension of LaFontaine Chevrolet Buick GMC St. Clair after reaching an agreement with the dealership, allowing it to resume operations Nov. 6.
The agreement, signed Nov. 5, includes a $25,000 financial penalty, an extension of probation through December 2026 and additional training requirements, according to Angela Benander, chief communications officer for the department.
