FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN) — The Fuquay-Varina Police Department arrested a man and a woman Friday on more than 30 felony charges in connection with fraudulent check transactions across three central North Carolina counties, warrants show.

According to court records, the incidents happened on Aug. 6 in Wake, Cumberland, and Harnett counties.

Court records show 33-year-old Ethan Tyler Smith of Youngsville and 48-year-old Victoria Wayne Tudor of Raleigh were identified as the suspects in the fraudulent transactions.

In Cumberland County, according to warrants filed by the Hope Mills Police Department, Smith and Tudor are accused of using a victim's ID and check to fraudulently obtain $3,500 from the State Employees Credit Union.
