LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The murder trial against an ex-porn actress accused of decapitating the father of her children began Wednesday as her attorney pointed to another suspect, her stepson, whom she later married.

Henderson police arrested Devyn Michaels, 47, who also uses the names Nikki Fairchild and Tracee Tavarez, on Aug. 15, 2023, for the murder of 46-year-old Johnathan Willette. Police said Michaels killed and decapitated him at his Henderson home on Aug. 7, 2023.

Last fall, Michaels pleaded guilty to a second-degree murder charge. As part of the deal, she would be eligible for parole after serving 15 years in prison. Michaels later attempted to revoke her plea, but Clark County District Court Judge Tierra Jones determined Michaels entered it “voluntarily, knowingly and intelligently
