JAMMU/SRINAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday organized a special programme at its Jammu headquarters in Trikuta Nagar to commemorate 150 years of India’s National Song, Vande Mataram.
The event was attended by BJP National General Secretary and In-Charge Jammu Kashmir Tarun Chugh, newly elected Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Sat Sharma, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, along with members of the State Executive and BJP MLAs.
Addressing the gathering, Chugh said that Vande Mataram is not merely a song but the soul of India’s freedom movement – a chant that united millions of Indians against British rule and awakened the spirit of Bharatiya.
