A dog made a break down the Ted Williams Tunnel Thursday morning and was promptly scooped up by State Police, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
MassDOT surveillance video shows the black-and-white pooch trotting toward oncoming vehicles before a State Police trooper brings traffic to a standstill to launch a rescue.
After initially evading capture, the dog eventually hops into the waiting cruiser.
MassDOT said the dog was spotted in the tunnel near the East Boston side and was ultimately retrieved safely. State Police did not immediately respond to a request for further information Friday.
