COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris will not face any charges for his actions that led to a woman being dragged from a town hall in Coeur d'Alene.

According to the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee, Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador exonerated Sheriff Norris following an investigation.

The investigation stemmed from an incident in February where hecklers were dragged from a KCRCC town hall at Coeur d'Alene High School. Footage from the event shows Sheriff Norris directing a private security firm to remove Dr. Teresa Borrenpohl among others.

In the fallout, Borrenpohl took legal action against the firm, Lear Asset Management and Sheriff Norris. .
