A Kansas City, Missouri, man is facing several charges after a shooting in North Kansas City on Thursday.
Antonio Serrano has been charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm in connection with the shooting. Advertisement
Officers responded to CVS at 1914 Swift St. around 3 p.m. on reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found 42-year-old Rusty A. Donovan on the ground behind the checkout counter. Donovan, a store employee, had been shot approximately eight times, court documents say.
Video surveillance footage reportedly shows the suspect, identified in court documents as Serrano, first entered the store and pointed the gun at a female employee behind the counter before allegedly shooting Donovan.
