Iowa Costcos sold wine that's being recalled for shattering bottles

Iowans may have sparkling wine bottles at risk of shattering, according to a Costco recall.

Costco is recalling nearly 1 million bottles of sparkling wine , including ones sold at its Iowa warehouses, due to a serious safety hazard.

Approximately 941,400 bottles of the retailer Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco are being recalled, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The bottles, which sold for about $8 each between April and August, were manufactured in Italy and imported by Ethica Wines of Miami, Florida.
