MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - Officials in Wisconsin are investigating after an attempted robbery of a man making a Facebook Marketplace purchase led to him being shot on Friday morning.
According to the Madison Police Department, officers were sent to the 4700 block of Jenewein Road for a gunshot wound call around 11:15 a.m. on Friday. Officers were elsewhere for another shots-fired call, but officers determined the two incidents were related.
The initial call was in the 10 block of Kessel Court around 10:53 a.m., with witnesses reporting gunshot sounds in the area. A man was found on Jenewein Road with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials say that the shooting was an attempted robbery in which the man was trying to make a purchase on Facebook Marketplace.
