We could see a first few snowflakes of the season into early next week After a beautiful week of weather across Central and Eastern Kentucky, we saw some changes to end the week Friday as a cold front moved through the region. With gusty southwest winds pushing milder air and moisture into the commonwealth, a broken line of showers and storms developed through the afternoon hours. This brought some heavy rain in spots and added some additional wind to the mix but we managed to stay away from any organized severe weather despite a few storms being on the strong side. The rain chances should wind down overnight with quiet weather returning quickly.
