Executives with Google announced Friday they are providing $5 million to the Oklahoma City Thunder and a consortium of education and business organizations to increase education and work opportunities using artificial intelligence .

The donation, announced at the start of the “AI Business Summit” held Friday, Nov. 7 , at the Paycom Center, will help launch a Masters in AI program at Oklahoma State University.

“As the state’s leader in workforce development and continuing education, OSU is uniquely positioned to empower students to land not just jobs but fulfilling careers,” said Kyle Wray, Senior Vice President for System Affairs at OSU. “This is just another positive example of how we’re expanding higher education opportunities for all Oklahomans.”
