Maryland state Sen. Karen Lewis Young plans to reintroduce a bill that would create a task force to study possible changes to the state's education funding formula.

She said in an interview on Tuesday that the task force would look at altering the current calendar-based approach to the funding formula, which requires the state to provide funding to county school systems based on their enrollment numbers on Sept. 30 of the previous year.
