STRONGSVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) - Two people were arrested after a motor vehicle pursuit and foot chase with the Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers and other police agencies in the area Thursday afternoon.
An initial pursuit started after troopers attempted to make a traffic stop on I-71 South near mile marker 230 in Strongsville around 2 p.m.
The suspect’s vehicle initially pulled over but then fled the scene, prompting the pursuit, but the chase was terminated near milepost 228 to avoid entering a construction zone, according to OSHP.
The pursuit started again when troopers spotted the suspect’s vehicle near mile marker 223, speeding and driving recklessly, reaching speeds in excess of 130 mph.
