SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — No. 5-seed Webb City fought through a defensive first half with No. 1-seed Willard in their Class 3 District 6 semifinal match at Parkview High School Thursday night to see two goose eggs on the scoreboard after 40 minutes of action.

The Cardinals (7-14) got a goal in the second half on a corner kick from Jacob Annis. There were two teammates in the area who tried to deflect the ball into the goal and it appeared Sebastian Aldrete got a piece of it to record the goal and give Annis an assist. ×
