Marilyn Schock, who has been president of UCHealth Greeley Hospital since it opened in July 2019, announced this week that she will retire in February after 40 years of working in health care in Northern Colorado.
Schock, selected as one of BizWest’s 50 Most Influential Business Leaders in 2022, 2023 and 2024, among its Notable Women in Health Care in 2021 and among its Women of Distinction in 2010, was first hired by UCHealth in 2014 as chief operating officer at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland and Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. Two years later, she was tapped to lead the design, construction and development of Greeley Hospital and its adjoining medical center.
