MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - The search for additional office space will likely delay the return of Vermont state employees to in-person work.
State office workers are required to return to the office three days a week starting in December.

But Gov. Phil Scott now says the state needs to lease more office space in order to make up for space lost from the sale of the Cherry Street building in Burlington.
Scott says the building has structural flaws, which would cost millions to fix.
So, the state wants to lease office space in Waterbury.
